I discovered Jaime on Christmas Day while catching up with music news and I’ve been listening to the album every week since, often in a loop for hours. It continues to amaze and move me because of the sheer range of songs, from the deeply personal Georgia to the exuberant happy sweetness of Stay High to the rousing 13th Century Metal. Combine that with inspired performances by Brittany Howard and her band and you have a keeper or, in my case, the best Christmas present I could hope for. Robert Grimm

My God, what a beautiful warm blanket of a record. Ms. Shelley is one of our best living songwriters, full-stop. Her knack for drawing you into a mood in just a few notes is remarkable, her lyrics are lovely, intermingling, the natural world, loss, the apocalypse, and the importance of community. Phil Lofton
